Student Professional Development Program

Initiative idea

The initiative aims to develop the professional skills of King Faisal University students, each in their respective field of specialization, by offering a set of specialized training programs that qualify them to obtain professionally accredited certificates. This is achieved after an evaluation process measuring the students’ mastery and competence in understanding the content of these programs, which are designed based on market needs.

Initiative Objectives

  1. Enable King Faisal University students to obtain accredited professional certificates in various fields that are in demand in the labor market.
  2. Distinguish King Faisal University students who earn these certificates from peers who pursue the same field only through academic study.
  3. Increase the chances of university students in securing employment opportunities in the labor market.

Importance of the Initiative

The initiative seeks to equip students with specialized skills in several professional fields, enhancing their employability and supporting job stability for those already employed within institutions.

Summary of Achievements and Number of Beneficiaries

In the first edition of the program, 222 male and female students from King Faisal University, who are expected to graduate, were trained and qualified through eight professional certificates distributed as follows: three engineering certificates (College of Engineering), three human resources development certificates (College of Business Administration), and two computer science certificates (College of Computer Science and Information Technology).
